This Privacy Policy explains how ViewTube collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use the ViewTube website, accounts, video tools, live features, playables, messaging, Studio, advertising tools, parental controls, and related services.
ViewTube is an independent platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to Google LLC or YouTube. References to third-party platforms are for descriptive purposes only.
We collect information you provide directly, including your email address, username, channel handle, profile details, avatars, banners, channel customization settings, support requests, feedback messages, advertising submissions, playlist data, and account settings.
We collect content and activity you create or interact with, including uploaded videos, shorts, thumbnails, titles, descriptions, tags, visibility settings, comments, replies, likes, dislikes, subscriptions, playlists, watch-later saves, reports, live stream data, chat messages, notifications, direct messages, message requests, and admin messages.
We collect platform activity and technical data, including views, interaction timestamps, streak activity, points activity, playable scores, playable progress, ad reward activity, referral activity, moderation outcomes, upload metadata, approximate device/browser information, IP-related security logs, and error/debug information needed to operate and protect the platform.
Content you publish publicly may be visible to users and visitors, including channel profile information, public videos, public shorts, public playlists, comments, live chat messages, and public engagement counts.
ViewTube supports public, unlisted, and private videos. Public videos may appear across ViewTube, including search, channel pages, feeds, recommendations, movies sections, and sitemap-style discovery. Unlisted videos are intended to be accessible to people with the link but not listed in public discovery surfaces. Private videos are intended to be available only to the owning account while signed in.
No visibility setting is a substitute for careful sharing. If you share an unlisted link, anyone with access to that link may be able to view it unless access controls change.
ViewTube allows a child account and parent account to link using a QR code or a short-lived one-time key. Link keys are generated by the child account, expire after a limited time, and are used to confirm that the parent and child accounts should be connected.
When accounts are linked, we store the relationship between the parent account and child account, parent-control settings, and channel blocks configured by the parent. These settings may include whether the child account can post content, comment, access messages, or view channels blocked by the parent.
A linked parent may see limited child-account information needed to manage those settings, such as the child account name, handle, avatar, linked status, enabled controls, and blocked-channel list. A linked child may see limited information about linked parent accounts and current restrictions.
ViewTube provides message threads, direct message requests, messages to admin, admin broadcasts, and in-app notifications. We store message content, sender and recipient identifiers, thread participation status, read timestamps, and related notification metadata so messaging can work.
Admin messages may also trigger an email telling you that you have a new message from ViewTube Admin. For privacy, those emails are intended to direct you back to ViewTube and not include the full admin message body. Admins may choose to send this email even if the recipient has been active recently.
If a linked parent disables messages for a child account, ViewTube may restrict the child account from opening message pages, creating new message threads, accepting message requests, or replying to existing message threads.
We use information to provide, secure, and improve ViewTube; authenticate accounts; host, process, and deliver videos; manage channel pages; operate Studio; enable comments, messaging, live streaming, playables, playlists, recommendations, streaks, and other platform features.
We use information to enforce safety controls, including spam prevention, content moderation, copyright-related upload checks, parental controls, channel blocking, suspension workflows, contest or reward integrity, and administrative review.
We may also use information for analytics, debugging, reliability, fraud prevention, legal compliance, support, communication, product development, and internal business operations.
ViewTube may display sponsored placements, custom banner ads, ad previews, ad campaign submissions, and reward-related ad experiences. We may collect ad interaction information such as impressions, clicks, completion status, campaign metadata, advertiser-submitted assets, and reward redemption records.
When third-party ad providers are used, those providers may process technical information such as device, browser, network, and ad-delivery data according to their own policies. When ViewTube-hosted custom ads are used, we use the submitted banner, link, campaign details, and interaction records to display and measure the ad.
ViewTube playables may store game launches, presence, scores, high scores, level/progress data, and reward eligibility. Streaks and points features may store daily activity, qualifying actions, referral credits, ad reward redemptions, contest-related points, and leaderboard data.
We use this information to show your progress, enforce reward limits, prevent abuse, and operate platform features such as leaderboards, counters, and in-app celebrations.
ViewTube uses automated and manual safety processes. We may review uploads, thumbnails, text, comments, live chat, reports, messages to admin, support requests, ad submissions, and other platform activity to detect spam, abuse, illegal content, policy violations, copyright concerns, security threats, or platform manipulation.
Moderation records may include reports, reviewed content, reviewer actions, account restrictions, comment pauses, strikes, suspensions, takedowns, blocked channels, and appeal/support communications. We retain these records as needed for trust and safety, repeat-abuse prevention, dispute handling, and legal compliance.
We use third-party infrastructure and service providers to operate ViewTube, including hosting, authentication, database, file storage, email delivery, analytics, payments or ad review workflows, media processing, and security services. These providers process information on our behalf or as necessary to provide their services.
We may disclose information when required by law, to protect ViewTube or others, to investigate abuse or security issues, to enforce our Terms, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset sale.
We do not sell personal information for direct monetary compensation.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide ViewTube, maintain account records, operate features, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce rules, prevent abuse, and protect platform integrity.
Some information may be deleted or hidden from public view before it is removed from backups, logs, moderation records, or legal-preservation systems. Retention periods vary depending on the data type, account status, safety needs, and legal context.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. However, no online service, storage system, or transmission method is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You can manage some information directly in ViewTube, including profile details, channel settings, video visibility, playlist settings, message participation, and certain Studio preferences. Parents and children may manage linked-account settings from the linked accounts area.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict certain personal information, or object to certain processing. To make a privacy request, contact us using the email below.
ViewTube is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law in your jurisdiction. If we learn that prohibited child data has been collected, we may remove it and take account action.
Linked parent/child account tools are intended to help families manage safety settings for accounts that are allowed to use ViewTube. These tools do not replace a parent or guardian’s responsibility to supervise online activity.
ViewTube may be operated from the United States and may use service providers in different locations. By using ViewTube, you understand that information may be processed in countries with data protection laws that differ from those in your location.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect legal, technical, operational, or product changes. If we make material changes, we may provide notice through ViewTube or another reasonable method. Continued use of ViewTube after updates means you accept the revised policy to the extent permitted by law.
